A Letter from the Founder

From the stands to the start line: why BBSN had to exist, and what 2025 actually built.

This report is the story of a beginning. 2025 was not the year you'll see Battle Born Sports Network on a thousand jerseys yet — that's the year ahead. 2025 was the year we built the platform that makes that possible. Every kid we put on the field in 2026 is going to be there because of decisions and partnerships and paperwork we closed this year.

I started BBSN because I have spent two decades sitting in the stands watching the same thing happen in every city, every league, every level. Kids with the talent. Parents with the will. And a quiet, invisible toll booth between them and the field — the physical they couldn't schedule, the league fee that ate the grocery budget, the cleats that didn't fit and couldn't be replaced. We're a nonprofit because that toll booth shouldn't exist.

2025 gave us the three programs that dismantle it: Fit 2 Play for the physicals, the Vegas Cares Sports Grant for the fees, and Equip the Future for the gear. It also gave us two signature event series — the West Coast Classic across six states, and the Crossover Classic in the Bay and LA — that turn fundraising into a celebration our communities actually want to attend. And it gave us the partnership with the LEGACY Program, which brings retired pros from five leagues directly into the lives of the kids we serve.

If you are reading this, you are one of the reasons the platform exists. Your dollars, your time, your trust — they are the budget that turns into a roster. There is no overhead-heavy machine here. There is a coach, a network, and a plan. Thank you for being part of it.

See you in the stands, on the sidelines, and at the championship.

03SECTION THREE

The Three Pillars

Each program closes one of the three most common reasons a kid can't play.
01

Fit 2 Play

Closes the Physical Barrier

Free sports physicals and basic medical clearances delivered in partnership with local providers — addressing the appointment-timing barrier that quietly pushes kids off rosters every season. 2025 secured six provider partnerships and scheduled four clinic dates in primary markets for 2026 rollout.

02

Vegas Cares Sports Grant

Closes the Cost Barrier

Direct financial aid for high school athletes facing hardship — covering league fees, club dues, travel, and the dozens of line items that turn opportunity into a luxury good. 2025 established the grant framework, application process, and review committee. Year-one target fund: $50,000.

03

Equip the Future

Closes the Gear Barrier

A community-fed equipment bank — gently used and new gear collected, sorted, and routed directly to teams and athletes who need it most. Helmets, cleats, balls, bags, the works. 2025 locked drive logistics, partner intake locations, and sorting protocols.
